This is your 32year old self, I want to say hi and share with you some of your/my life experiences as “we” continue to live on Earth as of December 3, 2007. Well 1st of all you need to get a Spanish/English dictionary to know what I am writing eh eh… yes yes sweetheart, you learned how to speak and write English very fluently.

Things have changed so much and I don’t even know where to start. Well let me tell you that you had the chance to go to United States and met in person your natural Mother; things where not as you expected to be when meeting her, but everything turned out to work pretty well for both few years after you met her.

You can rest about your “always wanted” braces; you will get to wear them; just lose hopes that anyone in family will pay for that, you actually had to grow up and save money for it yourself; now you have a very beautiful smile. You also own a Volkswagen Jetta; like you always wanted and have a private bedroom for yourself too. Also don’t think too much about marriage because is a waste of time and gray matter at your 13 years of age; I am 32 and still “the one” has not walked the red carpet and I feel very comfortable with my status.

Please spend extra time with Grampa, he has little time left; enjoy him as much as you can. War ended few years after you turned 13, you can have the certainty that nobody from family died in the war except Ruben, the nice guy dating our cousin; he didn’t make it alive nor he ever married her. Dad is about to make it to United States. I sent his application last Saturday. You are not a successful Salvadorean Architect as you ever dreamed but you earn more money than a graduated Architect in El Salvador.

You might not be very proud of your brother back then, but I want to tell you that he became a new man, very talented; he does what you always hated “Rap music” but you are supporting what he does with pride today and is the only Rapper you listen to. You also got that Guitar you always longed for since you were 9 years old; you also learned how to play it… today you have more than one guitar. Oh I can go on and on with so many things about our life but…

Most importantly to me today is that I really don’t want you to change anything to make it better for me, because everything is great and running, I want you to live as you have lived because otherwise I wouldn’t have had the chance to meet the greatest friend in the face of Earth, his name is Jesus and he saved my life because I was going to lose it; I am pretty sure that you do have a very thorough understanding and conscience of what to “be alive means” so please stick to it and you will make it to December 3, 2007 alive and running. Say Hi to everybody and tell my uncle that I am completely glad that he left “nosticism” once and for all, tell him not to worry about her shy daughter riding the bus to go to college, tell him that now she is a successful professor, owns a decent car to go to college “her workplace”.
