On being "fat"

Okay folks.....I've been following Kevin Smith's tweet ever since he first announced he was kicked off his Southwest flight from SF to Burbank. I was sitting right here when it happened....well...not RIGHT here but....you know what I mean. I gotta say that I'm a little irritated right now. Not because Kevin Smith is going off on SW and their protocol nor because SW is maintaining that he was too fat to fly. I'm actually really pissed off that the news threw down some half-assed story about it and then the public backlash was "Good for SW for making fat people buy two seats" and "If you don't like the policy, lose some weight".

Uhm.....okay.......now folks. Not EVERYONE is fat....especially by choice. I personally LOVE people with meat on their bones. They're f'ing sexy! That applies to both men and women. I mean wow.....a woman with curves around her hips and a man with meat...everywhere.....so hot. I'm not talking about morbidly obese like "Fat Bastard" fat.....I'm talking about people that are bigger than a size 6 or waist larger than 30 inches. Kevin Smith in my opinion is pretty hot and it isn't because of "who" he is. If he was just an average Joe working a regular 9-5 walking on the street (or driving by), I'd stop and look for sure. But I digress. Having an out-right prejudice toward people who may actually not have the ability to be thinner than 140 pounds is WRONG.

We'll use me as an example. Dude...I'm not kidding...I was fat. Like 240 pounds kinda fat. But it wasn't because I ate too many cheeseburgers at McDonald's or because I like everything dipped in fat and fried twice. It would have been nice if I could use that as an excuse. No matter how many diets I tried or how many hours I worked out, I stayed fat. I went to several doctors and had just as many tests to try and figure it out. It came to be that my long term exposure to birth control was killing my liver which thus created an inability to properly burn fat and thus a rather large version of a once very small me came to be. Now, since that realization followed with corrective measures, I have slimmed down quite a bit even though I actually eat more. I'm still not 105 pounds though. I never have been and I never will be. In fact, even at the pinnacle of my fitness, I weighed in at 142 pounds....all muscle. I was leg pressing 240lbs every other day, running 1 mile everyday...my body was tight. I might be lucky to get down to 150. But more than likely, I will hover around 160 for the rest of my life. Okay....so...I'll never be a size 0 or a size 2. I'm totally okay with that. What's important is that I'm fit, healthy and able to enjoy life.

But seriously? Why the fatty bashing, folks? Since the news broke out about Kevin's debacle with SWA, so many people are saying how great it is that SWA has a "people of size" policy. I get it that if you cannot sit in ONE seat, you might want to consider buying two. In fact, you should! But the outright bashing of over-weight people, saying crap like "go lose weight" or "go on a diet", that's just wrong. I know people who can eat just about anything and never gain a pound while there are folks who so much as look in the direction of a Subway sandwich and gain 2 pounds. And then there is this, "our society is so fat" crap. Uhm......has anyone paid attention to the crap that is being put in our everday food that is purchased at the grocery store lately? All these hormones and junk that are meant to fatten up animals are being passed into our digestive system. YEAH WE'RE FUCKING FATTER! DUH!!!! And the shittiest of shit is that the healthy, organic food that we're suppose to be eating is REALLY pricey which makes it harder for folks that have 4-6 mouths to feed everyday to eat truly healthy food....especially in THIS craptacular economy.

Stop hating....it's bad for the soul. If the US really wants to get this obese thing under control, then it's time to change the way our food is handled so that everyone has the opportunity to have a healthy lifestyle.

THE 2012 MANIFESTO

Alright.....this was e-mailed to me. Obviously someone (or something - maybe Malach?) is looking out for me...and you....Hobbs....you're thoughts? Anyone??

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE COMING TRANSITION

The crisis we are now experiencing is just a prelude to the major Transition in global consciousness that will occur during the 2012 period. In order to make the shift, the corrupt, hierarchical systems which do not serve the needs of Humanity must collapse. This will create fear and hardship for many, but for those who prepare for the paradigm shift to a new matrix of consciousness and being, the transition will be viewed as a mere inconvenience necessary for the rebalancing of Earth's and Humanity's energies. Here are the top 10 ways that you can prepare:

1 - Recognize that The United States of America is an Empire in decline. Most empires do not go to bed willingly. History shows us that the USA gets very belligerent when the economy goes south or other nations refuse to do what it tells them to. New alliances are forming that intend to counter US Hegemony. The Dollar is about to be rejected as the global currency. Unjustified and irrational wars have brought the USA to bankruptcy. The deficit is out of control. We are at the mercy of foreign energy sources. The global community is fed up with Bully USA and is about to pull the plug on many fronts. Expect the US Government to lash out in a last-ditch attempt to salvage Empire.

2 - Study and familiarize yourself with the concept of Peak Oil and its ramifications on our economic and social systems. In an era of energy scarcity, endless economic growth is not possible. The days of Milk and Honey are over. Value of Fiat paper currency (e.g. US Dollar/USD) is predicated on continual economic growth fueled by cheap energy. Peak Oil will ensure that the USD, globalism, the US economy, and all systems dependent on finance capital will collapse. This shedding process is already underway. Realize that the Good Ol Days are over and that materialism is a thing of the past.

3 - Unplug from the Mainstream Media (MSM) propaganda stream. Television, commercial radio, daily newspapers, and most of what you read on corporate-sponsored websites is disinformation and propaganda whose only purpose is to control and manipulate public consciousness in order to stifle development of human consciousness and true democracy. Kill your Television. Read, listen, watch and support local, independent, alternative and grass-roots media. Start your own blog, low power FM radio station, public access TV show, or 'zine to share the truth as you know it to be.

4 - Understand that Corporations (the Dark Forces) control our government and politicians (CorpGov). Voting is a charade to make you believe that you have a democratic choice. Democrats and Republicans serve the same elite puppetmasters and are no different from one another, no matter how genuine their rhetoric sounds. If you don't believe that Corporations are in control, then ignore that the Congress and the White House bailed out corrupt Banksters to the tune of TRILLIONS while they put on a dog-and-pony show about how much a public healthcare system will cost! The Federal Reserve will never be audited to expose the rampant corruption. The voting systems are rigged to ensure the Elites get the results they want. If you choose to engage in the voting game, only vote for Third Party and Independent candidates. Corporate-backed politicians must be flushed from the system permanently.

5 - Economically detach from The System. Know that the Finance/banking, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE) economy is all about sucking money from your pocket and transferring it to wealthy Elites. It is essentially legalized theft of your labor and the wealth that such labor creates. Try to operate in a cash-only fashion, under the table and out of the banks. Barter for goods and services. Consider joining or starting a local currency (LETS) system. Take your money out of the big corporate banks and place it with your local non-profit community/employee Credit Union. If you are concerned about the long-term viability of the USD and the negative effects of inflation, consider buying a home with productive farmland, machinery & tools, or other tangible goods that hold and can create value. You should also consider adding gold and silver to the mix.

6 - Learn to grow, harvest and store food. Modern just-in-time (JIT) delivery systems allow for only several days worth of food on store shelves. How long will that food last during a (manufactured?) disaster or economic collapse. Energy descent will make food via supermarkets harder to come by. Build your soil and grow your own healthy, organic fruits and vegetables. Establish a chicken coop and harvest the eggs, meat, feathers and manure. Goats are great for brush-clearing, milk and cheese. Rabbits re-produce quickly. Ponds can be stocked with fish. Learn about Permaculture and how it can make your homestead more productive with less work.

7 - Get off The Grid. Make your own energy. Capture, store and purify water. Without clean water we cannot survive. Municipal water systems are at the mercy of evaporating budgets, aging infrastructure, energy requirements, diversion by source communities/states, and tampering. Harvest rainwater from rooftops and in ponds, drill wells, establish storage tanks high up for gravity feed, install plumbing and filtration systems to ensure the water of life keeps flowing when the power goes out. Put a hot water solar system in place. Learn to purify water with a solar oven. Similarly, become energy independent. Install solar PV panels and a DC battery system, install a wood stove for heat, store fuel and have a generator in place for when the grid goes down.

8 - Learn traditional skills and healing practices. Wood working/turning, spinning, weaving, soap making, leather crafts, knitting, sewing, blacksmithing, metal working, herbal medicine, CPR, locksmithing, gun smithing, hunting, fishing, trapping, archery, animal husbandry, horse-shoeing, natural building, instrument making, coppicing, etc. Work with the local resources you have at hand rather than imported materials. Start a local guild of artisans and craftspeople to share knowledge and barter crafts.

9 - Build local community. Get to know your next-door neighbors and the locals. Attend or organize community celebrations and events. Create a phone tree for emergencies. Start a local tool/equipment exchange or barter system. Form a Neighborhood Watch, seed savers' exchange, or manufacturing cooperative. Volunteer to help the needy. Support your local farmer and shop at local, independent businesses to keep your money circulating in the local economy.

10 - Develop a personal spiritual practice. This does not mean religion! Mainstream Religion (Christianity/Judaism/Islam/Hinduism) is dogma that is used to politically and economically enslave humankind. Conversely, spirituality allows the individual to directly connect to Source (God/Goddess, Higher Self, the Universe, whatever you wish to call it) without an intermediate or middleman (Church, priests, dogma, institutions) getting in the way to control you. Spiritual practices include: meditation, yoga, Kaballah, shamanism, indigenous/Earth-based spiritual traditions, Tantra, ceremonial magick, prayer, etc. Pick the path that works for YOU and stick with it to develop the essential spiritual skills that you will depend on to navigate the Transition.

Remember, LOVE is the key to our collective success.

It started with an idea

Each of us encountered this idea at some point in our young lives. It was the idea that there was so much more to this world than what the eye could behold. And so we searched for what that was...the ever elusive mystery. We found that the more we tried to uncover this mystery, there was more to be found. And at one point we discovered that for a brief moment, we were immortal. We resided in the ether for just a short time and then it was gone...

Gone.

We tried to find that mystery again....we searched for that power that held us above the others as perfection in the flesh. But it was gone. Only for brief moments along the way did we see glimpses of it and wondered, could this be the source? But it wasn't. We reveled in the thoughts....and then let them go like butterflies chasing the wind.

We lost our way as we caved under the pressure of having the dream force fed to us. Some of us held on....we held closely to our hearts the memory....playing out the role of this place like actors upon the stage...gracefully hoping it would all come to an end and one day soon, the curtain call would give us relief. Then we could go home, kick off our shoes and shut reason out.

I've let it linger inside me.....held tightly to the hope of finding the source again......but one day....not so long ago....I let it all go. I let go of my hope of ever finding that source, I let go of hoping to have the drama end. I found that I was surrendering to the fire of the dream and all I could hope for was that I'd be so oblivious to it that the death of the idea would come quick and painlessly. It was when I let it all go, surrendered my will, that I was found by source itself and it brought with it a gift.....a reminder.

Here is my message to those who are still hoping for a glimpse...for those who have yet found it....and for those who have crossed with me over and over again....

I forgive you for all things past, present and future. I release you of any bind that may have tied us together. May you go forth and find exactly what you are meant to find and may source bring to you your mission in time for our reunion.

Go forth now and spread this message.....you have to start by letting go, forgiving....allow your hearts to open up....trust me...trust yourself. There is more to come.

Namaste my friends.

GOT DEMOCRACY?

Chinese Democracy Pictures, Images and Photos

Not too sure if anyone cares....but.....

I'VE GOT SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE!! Yup...that would be the sound of me tooting my own damn horn. I can thank Brandon for it. :) I got the new Guns N' Roses CD today. HeHeHe!!

SO - Here is my official review for the new Guns n' Roses album, Chinese Democracy.

Don't think for one second that you are going to plop in the disk and magically hear that kick ass sound from 1987. You see, I've had the luxury (again - thanks to Brandon) of hearing this album evolve over the course of several years. So when the album finally hit my hands, I was not at all surprised by what I was hearing. I was pleased for the most part and mildly disappointed at others. But for you, or anyone who has not heard an ounce of this, do not assume it's the old Gn'R shit. It's not. If you get stuck with that assumption, you will be very disappointed.

The sound is eclectic, intricate and at times bombastic. Over the course of 19 years, Axl had put so much thought into tiny details that if you aren't listening - really listening - you'll miss the point. And at first glance, most everyone misses the point. So overall, the album can be interpreted as mediocre at best. But after you sit and listen to those intricacies, you hear what you're meant to hear and that's when it hits you - FUCKING GENIUS.

The break down:
- Chinese Democracy: This song is the title track (obviously) as well as first single. Over all, it's got good rockin' moments and has a solid vibe.

- Shackler's Revenge: This one has a mix of borderline Rob Zombie beats mixed with a good rock bridge and chorus.

- Better: One of my faves lyrically and musically. One of the earlier demos I heard was actually "Better" than the finished version. The vocals were cleaner and the mix of instruments was a bit more logical. On the finished version toward the end, it seems to be a bit chaotic and irrational. However I did hear other versions where the end was WAY worse. So....I guess compromise was made.

- Street of Dreams: A nice little "Use Your Illusions" ditty. The orchestration in it is nicely done.

- If the World: Great Spanish guitar part and funky rhythm that is uncharacteristic of Gn'R. The bass line reminds me of the song, "Digging in the dirty" by Peter Gabriel. It's roots are totally porn.

- There was a Time: Lyrically powerful and musically intricate. Another fave of mine. It rocks but it does slip into "Illusion" moments.

- Catcher in the Rye: Another "Illusion" type sprout however it's not as powerful as some of his other songs.

- Scraped: This is the song I do not like. Acappella stuff in the beginning (which he should never do again) and jarring music. It's like Red Hot Chili Peppers from 1991, mixed with a smidgen of Backstreet Boys and crack. Not good.

-Riad n' the Bedouins: This has fun craziness. It's Led Zepplin on Crank. Not one that I'm keen on but it's tolerable.

- Sorry: This is a very powerful song. I think that this is in my 2nd to the most favorite song. It's raw emotion, melancholy backdrop, and pointed lyrics make this song something worthy of everyone's attention.

- I.R.S.: I like this song. It's like bubble gum. It's got pop. This is one where you have to really listen to what's going on with the instruments to sort of get what's going on. Otherwise, you're lost and the pace will throw you off.

- Madagascar: This is the genius song. I fell in love with this song over 2 years ago and it still breaks my heart. I love it. It also has a melancholy backdrop mixed with a sort of hip-hop type beat until it starts to really get into the song. Vocally, it's rough but I think that his vocals were left raw intentionally.

- This I Love: It's like an early 80's love story. Good orchestra parts. Enough said.

- Prostitute: I totally dig this song. The beginning is so-so, but the bridge is so super and chorus is divine. Axl was noted as saying that he really wanted the drums to sound like the drums from "Teen Spirit". And yes, if you listen, you will hear it. The guitar solo is alright...it's the background (again) that is enjoyable.

So, that's what I think. Go to the link I have on the title, the album is streaming on their MySpace page.

I'm "just me" and I've just liberated you.

On the fence with chaos and anarchy

So......"just me" (that would be me) is not a conspiracy theorist. In fact, she thinks conspiracy theorists are quack jobs. But "just me" has stumbled upon something that she could not resist reading more of and what she read was right up there with Christopher's fictional masterpieces....or so she initially thought.

So what did she find? Well....aliens (called grays and reptilians), psychic warfare, brain-washing (Clockwork Orange style), the true nature of the NSA, FEMA's agenda, The NWO, The Illuminati, Satanic Worship, The dark side of the Freemasons, The truth about chom-trails, sylphs, how hydrogen peroxide can heal you, and much more.

So what's the big deal then? For those old enough to recall, it reminded me eerily of "Red Dawn vs Terminator", only in this case the enemy isn't the Soviet or the Computers but our own Government.

But what does "just me's" weird quak-job findings mean? Well, ordinarily, she'd say, "nothing". But seeing as how there were several points of interest that directly coincide with our current economic climate as well as moral decline, she's saying, "it means something".

Take the FEMA report. Apparently, over the course of several decades, FEMA has been given a great deal of authority to take over any area that is experiencing a "crisis". Most think of crisis as being a natural catastrophe, however it also includes financial upheaval, political unrest due to war and rioting for whatever reason. FEMA is also being investigated for their "black-ops missions" that include spending billions for building secret underground bunkers where supposedly select government officials would be escorted to continue their governance in the event of unrepairable damage to the current law and order. Hmmmm.....sounds like "Terminator 3" type stuff. But anyway, based upon my connection of dots, if the current US financial decline and/or disapproval of the current status of the country were to create an angry public that began an uprising against the current government system, the President has the ability to sign 10 pages that would allow FEMA to seize control of any and all parts of the US to do as they will to secure the continuance of the government and the Congress would not have the ability to change that decision or review the decision for 6 months. Do you know what can happen in 6 months?? Why does FEMA have that ability? Interesting. I thought that "the people of the US" ran the government...not the other way around.

The NWO (New World Order) - Supposedly there is this vast underground belief that the United Nations is actually working to create a "NEW WORLD ORDER". Okay...so....what? So......the problem isn't the one world order but that supposedly the New World Order works a lot like the Da Vinci Code....many layers upon layers of religious influence in the political arena to bring about the end of days. YEAH........we all need the coming of Christ to move much quicker, don't we? Oh but wait! There's more! So, in an effort to do this, the CIA is actually running drugs all over the world to create chemical dependence and confusion among the masses. There are children being abducted, tested for their psychic abilities, then traumatized and re-trained to be these unsuspecting patsies to do the bidding of the NSA. Illuminati are doing satanic rituals on young children to gain power and control. The UN and the grays are working for the reptilians in an effort to conquer the Earth based in New Mexico and Brittan.

Oh...did I mention that the reptilians are cloning people? Yeah. Cloning really important people and or shape-shifting into important people so as to pass as human and do the their own bidding. Why??? Because humans are the only sentient beings with the power to "create" utilizing the power of thought. Hmmmmmmm........

Blue bloods - People who are type O negative have some reason to be concerned. Apparently those who are Type O negative are linked genetically to a superior race of human beings that have astounding psychic and paranormal abilities. The reptilians and the UN want you!

Well.....okay......what are my thoughts on this really? After a full day of reading some of the most bizarre things ever, I felt really uneasy. It wasn't like walking through a fun house and coming out nervously (yet hilariously) shaken by the effects. No. It was like watching a snuff film for the very first time and wishing you hadn't seen that there are such terrors in the world. I pondered on it a great deal, shared my finding with a few people, and even read the Bible. I'm not comforted. Why? Because the more I researched outside of this website what was being said, the more evidence I found to substantiate what was being said; minus the info on "Project Oak Tree" and very little was confirmed for "Project Mannequin". I find little comfort because of the fact that there are many things that we don't really know or understand and that it is very easy to keep us all distracted while a select few do things we could hardly fathom. I'm not comforted because it's all right there.......in Revelations. Oh don't get me wrong...my sister touted that whole, "If you believe in Jesus, you have nothing to worry about" bit.......but uhm....what about everything leading up to that particular event? There WILL be suffering. There WILL be a war. It's not a picture that many can grasp nor ideally, WANT to grasp. Ignorance is bliss after all.

I'm on the fence folks..........I want to know if there is a person who can talk me down. I'm waiting to see if anyone responds to my putting forth information that may or may not be real. I want to push that button and see what happens....will it buzz? Will it ring? Will it doing nothing? Will the WoW be the next place for X-File fans go to get their juicy information? Will it be where the dragons (not the Draconians) unite?

Before you go to the website, take time to pray for your soul and the souls of all those who would appose the NWO. Pray that you'll be able to sleep when it's all said and done. Pray for rain and the natural balance of manna to be restored. Pray that "they" never find you.

Iconic and legendary but fading

So...for crap and giggles (because I'm very irritable when I'm constipated), I was looking up info on Bettie Page tonight and came across an interview that she did in 1997. However, she did not want her face to be seen as she prefers that she be remembered for who she was and not as she is now.

Anyway....the interview, as interesting as it was, wasn't what caught my attention. Brothers and sisters, I give you this Wow exclusive.....Bettie Page is ill. Below is the interview and then HERE is the link to the youtube.com site where the interviewer asks for us to pray for her ailing health in the comments section (6 hours ago as of now).

I'm a very big fan of Ms. Bettie Page and can't tell you all what a remarkable woman she is. She's had many trials that she overcame and yet she remained such a humble person who's devout relationship with God is inspiring to me.

Let us give strength to her during her battle with her health and remember her beauty and inspiration in the art world of photography and film.

My thoughts on the secret of life

Ahhhh my beloved brother(s) and sister(s). How I have missed you . I know.....you haven't missed me. But believe me, I have certainly missed all of you. And there are new faces here who haven't yet met me but I say to you, I miss you too.

Even though I do not have very much strength, I wanted to respond to Murk's call. I apologize for the lengthy delay in getting to this.....but my time is valuable and I tend to use it in other ways as of late.

The Secret
So, Murk says he holds the secret to life. Well good friends, I say this: The secret to life isn't "The Secret". I've read the book and it's pretty much another person stealing the ideas of greater minds. Tacky if you ask me. Don't get me wrong. The idea behind it is actually important in many ways but the reality of the actual book....it's a scam. If you want to read a book that isn't a scam, I suggest "The Four Agreements".

What is the secret? I know what the secret is and it's for you to figure it out on your own. I'm not trying to be arrogant or rude, it's just part of the truth. You see, I can tell you the secret and then you would say, "Bullshit. That can't be the secret." Well, it wouldn't be unless you've lived it and came to that answer on your own. (Wow - I sound like Murk. YUCK!)

But here is a hint: It's bigger than the ocean. Okay - Another clue: Part of the secret is it has to do with your attitude. No, this isn't a hippy-bug-eater-notion. It's one of the truths.

The meaning of life.....well....the meaning of life is the same as the secret from one degree to another. The secret is the meaning and the meaning is the secret. You can't know one without the other. You don't have to believe that and I invite you to challenge the notion.

Why am I being so cryptic? Because my truth is not your truth and your truth may only hold half of mine. It isn't necessarily "what" we believe but how we come to the conclusion of the belief. It's the "how".......oops...I revealed another clue. But even with that said, how we reach the answers may take longer for some than for others. Some may never know while others simply meander blissfully content with their knowledge. Oh but believe me, there are many who believe the lie without allowing room for growth and those are the ones that I worry about. If you do not allow for an openness, than you are starving yourself from spiritual fruits that are meant to nourish you. Damn - another clue.

Murk also invited doubters. Murk could never get doubt from me. It isn't in my nature to doubt that which I know to be true. And as Murk also said, I do not have hard evidence of my knowledge in which to debate anyone however, I can still debate a person and lead them to their own truth. Or I could simply invade your mind and change it for you. That was a joke.

Indeed Murk, Malach and Spacefarmer have worked many years on their valuable project and I for one can attest to it. My hope is that one day their project will spring forward and gain the recognition it deserves. I also hope that it will become the beacon that they have sought to make it and that people will flow there to find guidance for their journey. Some of you may be thinking, "Seriously? Are you talking about the same people??" Yes. Without a doubt, my friends, they are more than they seem and I know them to be very generous in their hearts as well as in their souls. (Oh - did I just ruin that for you guys?) Perhaps one day, I will be able to provide more assistance on that project but until then, I can only contribute what little time I have here.

It is a long road...finding the answers. But I believe that it will come and now I invite you dwellers of the blogsphere to seek it out. What is the secret to life? What is the meaning of it all? Come tell us what you find and enjoy your journey.

I hold the secret to life and so do you.

Fairies (Murk's Meme)

People do fairies. A fairy is anything intentionally taken into or put into another body by any means necessary. Fairies can be simple, complex, large, small, or fruity.

Many people abuse fairies for many reasons. Young people should not do fairies because they have a long life to live and they can't make bad choices too early. Some people are affected by people they know who are doing fairies. Fairies hurt everyone, not the person who does them.

I will decide not to do fairies in my life for my family and friends and so that I can live the best way possible. Peer pressure is also a reason why people do fairies.

Fairies have been a problem in America since they were invented. The government spends hard earned money fighting fairies. Sometimes people do them to escape their lives.

Some fairies actually help people, like softcore and wine parties or other light style sex parties. Hospitals sometimes get stolen from for fairies, and so do pharmacies. Wake up, America!

If you are doing fairies, there are a few places that can help. Tell a friend or adult, maybe a police man or your doctor and get help now before it's too late. You can live a healthy life if you stay the fuck away from fairies.

I hate Murk

This is just a reminder to Murk that you're still a small, worthless, pieces of shit.

Heartfelt "fuck-off" included. :)

Actually, I saw this on another person's blog (Celti) and thought it was rather cool. And everyone knows how much I love to share "COOL" with the WoWees. Enjoy.

Happy Monday!

"Just Me" was possessed by demons

Psychodramas-R-Us has it's new production up on my blog......Ooops......I mean.....I put up a story of one of my adventures in pagan stuff.......

See...after Chris posted his story (about Jerry), a few of us (myself included) thought it would be interesting to share our stories. So....I put mine up.......only........mine is totally non-believable. It really happened though! I swear to you it happened! Mind you, it's only ONE story out of the hundreds I have. And for the record, it's because of my previous experiences in the "mystical arts" that allows me the ego to laugh at most Wiccans/Pagans.

Feel free to meander on by. Ciao!

Is there help for self help books?

So...I have been reading the book, "The Secret". If anyone has seen lately, "The Secret" recently came under fire for it's apparent lack of respect and supposed twisting of information.

Quite frankly, I think people get what they get from it. I certainly didn't get any ideas to have any disrespect. But then, that is me. What about the rest of the world?

So my husband and I got on the topic of self-help books. His bitch is that a majority of self-help books out there are merely designed to only help one person; the author. He feels that basically the advice given is designed to make people think they are getting some useful information but in the end, it's only filling up the pocket book of the author. Case in point: diet fads.

On the other hand, I have read quite a few self-help books and found them to be VERY useful tools. Well...allow me to re-phrase that. I've read quite a few spiritual books that were in the self-help section of the book store, and found them to be very useful. My case and point: ANYTHING FROM THE DALHI LAMA!

So yesterday, I got the idea that perhaps the reason why self-help books aren't helping is because people have a misconception of how to help themselves or how to receive the help they may need to improve themselves and/or their lives. And then I thought, "Hey! I could write a self-help book!"

Judging from my husband's response.......I'd quickly fall into the family of thieves that he portrays those authors to be.

What do guys think about self-help books? Do they work? Or are they crap?

Religious intolerance breeds hatred

Look....I'm not one to sit and preach about religion nor to protest religion. I'm not a holy roller or an uber devout anything. Being fanatical about anything scares me.

So then....imagine what happened when I watched Jesus Camp last night? For the first time in awhile, I was left with the sensation of wanting to puke violently. As I watched this movie, featuring three children, I began to increasingly feel bile crawl from my belly and into my mouth. I was flabbergasted, floored and just utterly stunned by the lack of intelligence as well as lack of respect for all things sacred! It was like.....waiting for something WACO (TX) to happen.

And these poor kids......their eyes were cold, their demeanor was jumpy and mechanical......I have never seen anything like it.

Anyway.....For those who have not seen the movie, let me break it down for you....via Wiki.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Jesus Camp is a documentary about the "Kids On Fire School of Ministry," a charismatic Christian summer camp located just outside Devils Lake, North Dakota and run by Becky Fischer and her ministry, Kids in Ministry International. The film focuses on three children who attended the camp in the summer of 2005--Levi, Rachael, and Tory (Victoria). The film cuts between footage of the camp and a children's prayer conference held just prior to the camp at Christ Triumphant Church, a large charismatic church in Lee's Summit, Missouri; a suburb of Kansas City.

All three children, despite their youth, are very devout charismatic Christians. Levi, who has ambitions of being a pastor, has already preached several sermons at his father's church, Rock of Ages Church in St. Robert, Missouri. He is homeschooled (as are many of the campers), and learns physical science from a book that attempts to reconcile the creationist account with scientific principles. He is also taught that global warming is a non-issue and that it is political propaganda. At the camp, he preaches a sermon in which he declares that his generation is key to Jesus's coming back. Rachael, who also attends Levi's church (her father is assistant pastor), is seen praying over a bowling ball early in the film, and frequently passes Christian tracts (including some by Jack Chick) to people she meets. She doesn't think very highly of non-charismatic churches (or "dead churches," as she calls them), feeling they aren't "churches that God likes to go to." Tory is a member of the children's praise dance team at Christ Triumphant Church. She frequently dances to Christian heavy metal music, and feels uncomfortable about "dancing for the flesh." She also doesn't think very highly of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

At the camp, Fischer stresses the need for children to purify themselves in order to be part of the "army of God." She strongly believes that children need to be in the forefront of turning America toward conservative Christian values. She also feels that Christians need to focus on training kids since "the enemy" are focused on training theirs.

Becky Fischer, directer of the Kids On Fire School of Ministry
In one scene shot at Christ Triumphant Church, Lou Engle, the chief "
prophet" (a term not used in the film) for Harvest International Ministries (the "apostolic network" with which both the church and Fischer's ministry are affiliated--an affiliation not advertised in the film) and founder of the Justice House of Prayer, preaches a message urging children to join the fight to end abortion in America. He prays for George W. Bush to have the strength to appoint "righteous judges" who will overturn Roe v. Wade. By the end of the sermon, the children are chanting, "Righteous judges! Righteous judges!" In another, a woman brings a life-sized cutout of Bush to the front of the church, and has the children stretch their hands toward him. Some media reports misinterpreted this as "worshipping" the president, but the children were actually "praying over him." Indeed, the woman clearly says to "pray for" and "speak a blessing to" Bush. Stretching hands toward someone is a derivative of laying hands on someone, which is a very common practice in Pentecostal and charismatic churches.

There is also a scene at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Levi and his family go on vacation to hear its renowned pastor, Ted Haggard (who has a Monday morning call with President Bush every week). Less than two months after the release of the film, Haggard became embroiled in a high-profile scandal involving, among other things, homosexual prostitution. Afterward, Levi, Rachael and their families take part in a Justice House of Prayer rally held by Engle in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Additionally, there is a debate between Fischer and Mike Papantonio (an attorney and a radio talk-show host for Air America Radio's Ring of Fire).

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

First off, these kids are being severly brainwashed. I am TOTALLY apposed to anyone who brainwashes children. It's one thing to lead a child to Jesus (or any religion/faith) but they aren't leading the lamb into the field of the shepherd here. They're using Jesus' name to create a sadistic world with their political and religious motives fully vested into the minds of children.....little children.

Can you imagine training (militantly) children to go up to strangers and ask them if they know where they are going when they die? Yes...a little girl did this and then accused the folks of being Muslim......without even asking them what they were or what their beliefs were. She just assumed. WTF?!?!?!

Folks, you need to be aware that there are some severe fundamentalists out there who want to remove your right to the freedom of religion as well as your freedom of choice. Be very cautious of this and DO NOT LET IT IN TO OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM! Separation of church and state must remain. Morals are important but thrusting religious motivations is not. Just ask Jesus.

Green party for 2008?

I have been spending some time researching the politicians running for the 2008 presidency.

Oh soooo very......Scary. What this nation has to offer in the political arena is hideous and there are some serious fucking freaks out there. I was becoming hesitant to vote at all....but then I found this one person who's from the Green Party.

Kent Mesplay.

He has some fairly decent ideas on how to approach some of the nations biggest topics. Being that I lean toward "TREE HUGGER" and walk around bare-footed all day......his green ideas seem to be economically responsible as well as environmentally sound. Also being that I like some of the ideas that socialist economies (such as France) implore, the idea of creating a united health care system where all Americans are responsible for, is probably a very good means to reform our nations outrageous medical system....something that he also promotes.

Anyway...I thought I'd put this out there for other's to view and get your opinion on......

Oh...and then there was this sweet find.......

Extremists scare me.

The truth is.....

I've decided to be a political cunt. I have a few short words for everyone's consideration....

"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power."

- Franklin D. Roosevelt

AN EXAMPLE: The oil industry has their hands and billions of dollars tied into every country for it's best interest of earning more money. Our own President's main interest is in oil and the money it produces into his accounts. Right before our very eyes is a private company who has it's hand in everything and we're less of a democratic nation for it. If you don't believe in the oil industry's power to influence leaders, look at Sudan. We must take down the private industries who pride themselves in running countries for the sake of their financial betterment. They have no right to determine how any goverment should be ran when they have no real interest in any country's people or it's environment.

VOTE AGAINST FACISM IN AMERICA.

I am "just me" and I promote the ending of facism in America. I approve this message!

Yes Jesus love me - AND YOU

JesusMan is sooooo way cool. Just ask Malach how cool he is.

But yesterday, my husband stumbled upon something that I'm not sure Malach even owns....

Inspirational Jesus Sports Figurines :)

There are a few pages that you can choose from, a nice wide range from baseball (AND ballet) all the way down to tennis, and they're nicely priced for giving. *inserts super big cheez-grin here*

Now, in case you were wondering where the hell my husband found this really awesome link, I'll tell you. He found it at Richard Fortus' site under links where you can also find out what kind of David Bowie you are.

Cheers!

Spammer is arrested

Who-hoo!! Stupid (but smart) spammer who allegedly lived a lavish life-style and was stealing websites, money and identities was arrested yesterday!!

Robert Alan Soloway is accused of using networks of compromised "zombie" computers to send out millions upon millions of spam e-mails.

"He's one of the top 10 spammers in the world," said Tim Cranton, a Microsoft Corp. lawyer who is senior director of the company's Worldwide Internet Safety Programs. "He's a huge problem for our customers. This is a very good day."

Blissful dreams, a Coke and a smile!

So.....I usually write about my personal crap on MY BLOG but today...I wanted to share some of my personal thoughts and stuff here.

Dreams
I had a dream about Jesus.....AGAIN. The first time was rather powerful and it freaked me out but it's been about three years since then. I wasn't really expecting to have another one let alone the first one.

When I spoke to my my mom about it last night, she said, "Well it says in the bible that we're suppose to do that so...."

What was I dreaming? Good question! I was dreaming that I was in a church and Toyi (I really don't know why her) was talking about "healing hands" or "The laying of hands" among the congregation and the group was electric with this debate. Then I heard a male voice behind me with such clarity that it I made a special note of it in my sleep, "....louder and clearer above all voices...." was my thinking. I listened to it as it told me that to heal him (not really sure who but I assumed my husband), I need to lay my hands upon his chest and pray to HIM.....pray to Jesus. Now, I recall trying to listen to what the other people were saying and then hearing Jesus say to me (still behind me), "Do you want me to stop?" Of course I replied, "NO". So He repeated Himself to me and then I turned to look upon the most beautiful face ever. But.....strangely....He had sky blue eyes.

So...why would I type something like this onto a very public blog? I want input!I want suggestions, ideas and I want to start a conversation about the mysteries that so many of us take for granted. I want to hear what your thoughts are. Let's hear it folks.....

Coke
Today, I was blog surfing and found this person voicing their opinion on Coke turning their headquarters in Atlanta, GA into a more GREEN environment. By making the $3M investment to do so, they will save an annual amount of $1M/year. Talk about a quick investment return.

But what makes this story so much fun is where I found it. *giggles* I found it at TREEHUGGER.COM!!! Can you believe it?? THERE IS A TREEHUGGER.COM!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

And a smile

In the beginning of the real ocean adventure

Speaking of being adrift on the open sea.....

We have whales in our port. Humpback Whales! They are suppose to be passing the San Francisco Bay as they head towards Alaska for the Summer but instead, smelt the horrific stench of a skunk that Angry Veteran had on the S.S. Whatever-the-hell-Murk-named-it and detoured toward my city. They swam 90 miles inland and are currently swimming circles in the Port of Sacramento.

Officials are urging folks to remain away from the water's edges due to sound disturbances confusing the mom and her calf more however, being that they are literally 5 miles from my house, I'm thinking of going to go see if I can get some pics.

For those who cannot wait, you can click this link for our local news station.

Who is this new "Jesus"?

I know this is old news but my little sister called me this morning wanting to know if this was the anti-christ. So then I got to thinking about my fellow brothers and sisters here at the WoW and thought, "I would love to hear their debate on THIS." So...let's hear it!

Gas Boycott on 5/15?

Don't buy gas on May 15th.

You can buy it on the 13th, the 14th or even the 16th but don't buy gas on the 15th. Let's boycott the gas stations across the nation for one entire day and see what happens. Our folks did it in the early 80's, so I know we can can do this too.

What say you? Are you in? THEN FORWARD THIS INFO TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND LET'S GET THE WORD OUT!

NO GAS ON 5/15!

That's just lame. That wont have any impact on the oil industry at all. One whole day of not going to the gas station.....it never hits their bottom line unless the entire nation ceases to function for the entire day, reducing the total consumption of gas. Don't believe me? Read the article on MSN here.

According to research that I have done and that has been done by others, the only way we're really going to hit the gas industry is if we reduce gas consumption over-all. In order to reduce gas consumption, people are being urged to look into more fuel efficient methods, such as mass transportation, cars with higher fuel efficiency, hybrids and electric vehicles. Researches are even finally looking into the reality of hydrogen fueled vehicles after so many years of saying that it is an unstable resource to use.

However, even though we as a nation would be better off financially, economically, and environmentally by doing so, we still have the matter of other leading countries who are purchasing gas at an astonishing rate. Countries such as China and India are growing rapidly and so is their demand. That means, even if our demand decreased, the increase in other nations would continue to keep the prices where they are. PLUS.....most people fail to realize that the gas we use was purchased approximately 3 months ago. That means, in order for there to be an impact, the solution needs to be for a long period of time; not one day.

And what about airplanes? Ever stop to think about how much fuel those things use? How could we work to make those more fuel efficient?

Overall...... if we reduced the need for gas, we reduce the need for fuel refineries (one of the world's leading green house polluters). And quite frankly, that is more my concern then the price of gas. In conclusion, let's make 5/15 "fuel efficiency awareness day". I challenge the readers to do something that will lead to a more fuel efficient and cost effective tomorrow.

So, what say you?
