Heading into a meeting in which you'll wish you would get an urgent call on your cell phone to save you? Or maybe you just want to seem popular. Yeah, that's gotta' be it.
Help is here. The Popularity Dialer offers a service that easily and credibly fakes a cell phone call.
Go to the site and program in the time you'd like the "call." Pick the type. Is it the popularity call? The boss call? The cousin in need call? When you get the call you'll hear a pre-recorded message that's only half a conversation…you fill in the blanks.
It's the brainchild of two NYU Tisch Interactive Telecom Program students.

I have used this service 17 times in the past day. It's wicked awesome. Mostly, I have used it with other people's numbers. *insert evil laugh here*
Piper already does this, but the phone doesn't even ring and he doesn't even pretend that there is someone on the end of the line.
